RESPONSIBILITIES/RESPONSABILITÉS Our client, a leading provider of on-line business solutions for corporate disclosure information has requested that Lock Search Group assist them in finding a Business Development Manager for their downtown Toronto office.

Our client’s main product is an online, easy-to-use solution … for rapidly accessing public company disclosure information across North America. Their solution is used by 1000’s of professionals across five market verticals: accounting, legal, financial, public companies and government. They are dedicated to the business and financial information industry … focusing on the specialized niche of securities filings.

About the Role …

My client is seeking an experienced, consultative, entrepreneurial and results-oriented business development manager. This role is focused on selling the proprietary offering and other modules or services through outbound telephone calls to both target and existing clients and existing customers. You will develop relationships with C-Level contacts across North America

Responsibilities …

Selling via outbound calls (30+ calls per day), by arranging webinars for product closing demonstrations
Facilitating product demonstrations & securing contracts with superior closing techniques
Meet or exceed both qualitative and quantitative outbound sales goals on a consistent basis
Build rapport with internal and external customers through prompt and professional service
Accurately manage call lists and client contacts, setting demonstration dates and updating profile activity through the use of a proprietary CRM
CANDIDATE PROFILE What You Need to Be Able to Offer …

This is ABSOLUTELY NOT a call center environment; while the position does require high level telemarketing experience and very professional telephone manner … this is truly a mid-level sales role.

Must Have: Minimum of 4 years sales or telemarketing experience; preferably in B2B environment, selling to business professionals
Must Have: University Degree / College Diploma
A “true hunter” sales mentality coupled with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent telephone etiquette, professional attitude and integrity
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and aptitude for internal business systems
C-Level sales acumen (selling to CFOs, CEOs, Controllers)
Bilingual English/French is an asset
An intimate understanding of the sales process at senior levels within client organizations

Remuneration …

Base Salary: $45,000 – $50,000
On Target Variable Earnings @ 100% of Target = $30,000
Total Target Compensation = $75,000 – $80,000
UNCAPPED COMMISSION PLAN … second year estimates … into 6 figures!
